Superman III (1983) takes a lighter, more comedic turn as the Man of Steel faces a new foe a bumbling computer genius (Richard Pryor) manipulated into helping a corrupt tycoon. As technology spins out of control and Supermans morality is tested by synthetic kryptonite, the film mixes superhero spectacle with slapstick humor and themes of duality and corruption.
