Ron Howard directs this thriller based on the novel by Dan Brown. When American religious symbology expert Dr. Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) is summoned to the Louvre by the French police, he discovers that he is the prime suspect in a brutal murder. Aided by a French cryptographer and police officer named Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), Langdon must decipher a series of cryptic codes and puzzles while trying to stay ahead of the authorities. As the pair fight to solve the mystery and stay alive, they realise they are close to uncovering a shocking truth kept secret for over two millennia which, if revealed, could change the world forever. The cast also includes Ian McKellen, Paul Bettany and Jean Reno.
