Directed by Luis Buñuel, The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972) is an Academy Award winning French surrealist satire that dissects class, ritual, and social hypocrisy. Winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, the movie follows a group of bourgeois friends whose attempts to dine together are endlessly disrupted by dreams and absurd interruptions. Blending sharp social observation with surreal logic, it remains one of Buñuels most celebrated works.

Från IMDB:
A surreal, virtually plotless series of dreams centered around six middle-class people and their consistently interrupted attempts to have a meal together.
