The Expendables 2 (2012), directed by Simon West, continues the mercenary action franchise with an expanded ensemble of classic action stars. Led by Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham, the film escalates the scale with larger set pieces, heavier firepower, and a more pronounced old-school action tone. The sequel is notable for introducing Jean-Claude Van Damme as the primary antagonist and featuring appearances by Chuck Norris.
