Carol Reeds The Fallen Idol, written by Graham Greene, follows a young boy who witnesses events he doesnt fully understand after his beloved family butler is accused of murder. A masterful blend of suspense and moral ambiguity, it anticipates the tone of Reeds later classic The Third Man.

Från IMDB:
A butler working in a foreign embassy in London falls under suspicion when his wife accidentally falls to her death, the only witness being an impressionable young boy.
