Directed by Darren Aronofsky, The Fountain stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz in a metaphysical drama about love, mortality and the search for eternal life across multiple interwoven timelines. Ellen Burstyn and Mark Margolis co-star in a visually stylised film that moves between present-day illness, conquistador-era imagery and a cosmic journey toward rebirth. The film combines romantic drama, philosophical science fiction, spiritual symbolism and dreamlike visual storytelling.
