Directed by Riccardo Freda, The Ghost stars Barbara Steele as Margaret Hichcock, who conspires with her lover to murder her wealthy, paralysed husband. After his death, strange events and apparent supernatural manifestations begin to torment the couple, raising the possibility that the dead man has returned for revenge. Set in turn-of-the-century Scotland, the film combines Italian Gothic horror with murder, greed and spectral vengeance.
