The Glassworker (2024) is Pakistans first hand-drawn 2D animated feature, directed by Usman Riaz. In a fictional seaside town on the brink of war, the son of a glassworker and the daughter of a military colonel fall in love amid duty, art, and destruction. With its lyrical animation style reminiscent of Studio Ghibli, the film weaves themes of romance, anti-war sentiment, and the fragile beauty of creativity shattered by conflict.
