Directed by Brett Leonard, The Lawnmower Man stars Pierce Brosnan as scientist Lawrence Angelo, who uses experimental virtual-reality technology and drugs to increase the intelligence of gardener Jobe Smith, played by Jeff Fahey. As Jobes mental abilities develop far beyond expectations, the experiment gives him increasingly dangerous powers and draws him deeper into the virtual world. The film combines early-1990s virtual-reality science fiction with psychological suspense, technological transformation and a growing struggle for control.

Pierce Brosnan and Jeff Fahey star in this sci-fi action thriller directed by Brett Leonard. When gardener Jobe Smith (Fahey) becomes the subject of experiments by Dr. Lawrence Angelo (Brosnan), who is seeking to enhance cognitive performance using virtual reality, he becomes a genius. Along with his newfound intelligence, he develops telekinesis and telepathy and soon begins killing people who have mistreated him in the past. As Dr. Angelo tries to stop him, Jobe attempts to reach a new stage of evolution and escape his physical body entirely.
