Directed by Gore Verbinski and starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, The Lone Ranger follows lawman John Reid and Comanche warrior Tonto as they pursue the outlaw Butch Cavendish across the American West. Their search develops into a larger conflict involving corruption, railroads and violence on the frontier. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film reimagines the classic Lone Ranger characters as a large-scale action western.
