Directed by Ingmar Bergman, The Magic Flute (1975) is a film adaptation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts opera of the same name. Starring Josef Köstlinger, Irma Urrila and Håkan Hagegård, the film follows Prince Tamino and Pamina on a fantastical journey filled with love, trials and magic. Bergmans adaptation received international acclaim and was nominated for both the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film.
