Directed by Buddy Cooper, The Mutilator (1984) is a coastal slasher horror film centered on a group of college students stalked during a fall break at a remote beach house. Blending isolation, familial trauma, and escalating body-count violence, the film emphasizes suspenseful build-up followed by graphic kills. Its identity is rooted firmly in 1980s American slasher tradition rather than mystery or crime realism.

Cult slasher. Ten years after a young boy accidentally shoots his mother dead, he turns up with his friends for a holiday at the family beach house and is surprised to discover his fathers collection of unusual weapons. He is even more surprised when his friends start to disappear, each of them, one by one, meeting a bizarre and gory death...
