Directed by David Zucker, this slapstick crime spoof stars Leslie Nielsen as bumbling detective Frank Drebin, trying to stop an assassination plot against Queen Elizabeth II. Based on the short-lived TV series Police Squad!, it became a cult classic for its deadpan humor, visual gags, and absurd police parody.

Frank Drebin returns in David Zuckers sequel, once again played by Leslie Nielsen, as he uncovers a plot by corrupt energy moguls to replace a scientist promoting clean energy. The film continues the franchises trademark slapstick, wordplay, and police procedural parody, with Priscilla Presley and George Kennedy reprising their roles.

Directed by Peter Segal, the third film follows a retired Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) who goes undercover in prison to stop a terrorist attack at the Academy Awards. Combining Hollywood satire with the series signature parody style, it features returning cast members Priscilla Presley and George Kennedy, along with celebrity cameos and pop culture spoofing.
