James DeMonacos The Purge imagines a near-future America where, for one night each year, all crime including murder is legal. Starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey, the film traps a wealthy family inside their fortified home as chaos erupts outside. Blending dystopian sci-fi with home-invasion horror, it launched one of the most influential modern horror franchises.
