Directed by Christian Nyby and produced during the early 1950s science fiction boom, The Thing from Another World is a sci-fi horror film set at an isolated Arctic research station. Based on the novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell Jr., the film follows military personnel and scientists confronting a dangerous extraterrestrial lifeform discovered beneath the ice. The film became one of the defining American science fiction horror productions of its era.
