Michael Redgrave stars in this thriller directed by Joseph Losey. Alcoholic writer David Graham (Redgrave) has only 24 hours left before his estranged son Alec (Alec McCowen) is executed for the crime of murdering his girlfriend. As David searches desperately for proof of Alec's innocence and attempts to discern the identity of the real killer, he must also battle his inner demons and addictions. Can he uncover the truth before time runs out? The cast also includes Peter Cushing, Ann Todd and Leo McKern.
