Jamie TBAs Urban Legend (1998) turned campus folklore into late-90s slasher terror. A killer re-creates famous urban myths the hook, the back-seat killer, lights-off roommate stalking college students amid rumors and paranoia. Slick, self-aware, and fueled by post-Scream energy, its one of the defining teen horror hits of its era.

John Ottmans Urban Legend: Final Cut (2000) moves the killing spree to a film-school campus, where students making a thesis slasher become victims of one. Meta, self-referential, and stylishly shot, it doubles as both murder mystery and commentary on horror filmmaking.

Mary Lamberts Urban Legend: Bloody Mary (2005) revives the franchise with a supernatural twist. After three girls vanish during prom night, ghostly vengeance emerges years later through urban-legend-style killings. Mixing slasher rhythm with revenge ghost lore, it blends folklore horror with mid-2000s paranormal aesthetics.
