I love reading fantasy books, but this one is a struggle for me. I kinda like the female character but we don't get much about the world. There is some history lessons later in the book, but we kinda learn as we go. The male character irked me through out most of the book. He got on my nerves and maybe that is why I had trouble with the book. Also I didn't see the plot twist at the end. But now I am commited to the rest of the series.
