Directed by Art Linson, Where the Buffalo Roam stars Bill Murray as gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson and Peter Boyle as his radical attorney friend Carl Lazlo. Loosely based on Thompsons writings and experiences, the film follows their chaotic encounters with journalism, politics, drugs and the American counterculture during the late 1960s and early 1970s. This offbeat comedy combines biographical elements with political satire and the anarchic world associated with Thompsons gonzo journalism.
