The first entry in the infamous low-budget horror franchise, Witchcraft (1988) follows a young mother who begins to suspect her new husbands family is involved in dark satanic rituals. With its mix of occult horror, witchcraft, and exploitation sleaze, it launched a long-running series of B-movie sequels.

Three hundred years after they were burned at the stake for practising witchcraft, the souls of young couple John and Elizabeth Churchill cease their wandering and set to work on a diabolical plan. Posing as mother and son, they plot to give earthly life to the soul of Elizabeths unborn child, and to this end John marries reformed drug addict Grace. She soon becomes pregnant, but does not expect to discover that her newborn babe is in fact a demon from the gates of Hell.
