Directed by Mel Brooks, Young Frankenstein stars Gene Wilder as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, the grandson of the infamous scientist, who travels to Transylvania and is drawn into his familys legacy of reanimation. Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman, Madeline Kahn and Teri Garr co-star in this black-and-white parody of classic Frankenstein horror, filled with gothic atmosphere, slapstick, wordplay and affectionate monster-movie satire. The film received Academy Award nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Sound.
