12 Monkeys (2015 2018)

Inspired by the 1995 film, 12 Monkeys reimagines its time-travel premise as an expansive, character-driven sci-fi thriller about a future scavenger sent back in time to stop a global plague. The series intertwines nonlinear storytelling, paradoxes, shifting timelines, and evolving alliances as its characters confront the cost of rewriting history. Its blend of philosophical themes, emotional depth, and tightly engineered plotting helped establish it as one of the most ambitious time-travel narratives on television.

Från IMDB:
Follows the journey of a time traveler from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will nearly destroy the human race.
