48 Hrs. (1982)
Directed by Walter Hill, 48 Hrs. pairs Nick Nolte as a gruff cop with Eddie Murphy as a fast-talking convict on temporary release to help catch two killers. Gritty, fast-paced, and explosively funny, it set the blueprint for the modern buddy-cop action comedy.

Another 48 Hrs. (1990)
Eight years later, Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy reunite in Another 48 Hrs., once again directed by Walter Hill. The sequel ups the action and attitude as the mismatched duo dive into a new case filled with shootouts, double-crosses, and razor-sharp banter.
