A Better Tomorrow (1986)
Directed by John Woo, A Better Tomorrow stars Ti Lung, Chow Yun-fat and Leslie Cheung in a Hong Kong action crime film about brotherhood, loyalty and redemption. Ti Lung plays a counterfeiter trying to leave his criminal life behind, while Chow Yun-fats Mark became one of Hong Kong cinemas defining heroic-bloodshed characters. The film helped establish John Woos international reputation and won major Golden Horse Awards, including Best Director for Woo and Best Leading Actor for Ti Lung.

A Better Tomorrow II (1987)
Directed by John Woo, A Better Tomorrow II brings back Ti Lung, Leslie Cheung and Chow Yun-fat for a larger, more explosive continuation of the Hong Kong action crime saga. The sequel follows new betrayals, revenge and underworld conflict, with Dean Shek joining the cast in a story that pushes the series further into operatic gunplay and loyalty-driven action. Produced by Tsui Hark, the film continues the heroic-bloodshed style that made the first film a landmark of Hong Kong cinema.

A Better Tomorrow III: Love & Death in Saigon (1989)
Directed by Tsui Hark, A Better Tomorrow III: Love & Death in Saigon stars Chow Yun-fat, Anita Mui and Tony Leung Ka-fai in a prequel set during the final days of the Vietnam War. The film follows Mark before the events of the first A Better Tomorrow, combining wartime danger, crime melodrama and romantic tragedy in Saigon. With Tsui Hark behind the camera and Anita Mui in a central role, the third film gives the series a different tone while keeping its focus on loyalty, sacrifice and doomed relationships.
