Benny Chan directs this romantic action drama starring Andy Lau and Chien-Lien Wu. Wah Dee (Lau) is a small-time criminal, an orphan who survived the streets of Hong Kong. Being a skilled driver and rider, he is enlisted by psychotic Triad leader Trumpet (Kwong-Leung Wong) as a getaway driver for a heist that goes wrong. In the aftermath of a robbery a teenage girl, Jo Jo (Wu), is taken hostage. Trumpet orders her killing but Wah steps in to protect her, therefore severing his loyalties to the gang and they to him.
