Directed by Andrew Davis, Above the Law stars Steven Seagal in his film debut as Nico Toscani, a former CIA operative and martial arts expert now working as a Chicago police officer. A drug investigation leads Nico and his partner, played by Pam Grier, to a conspiracy involving corrupt intelligence operatives, explosives and a political assassination plot. Henry Silva and Sharon Stone co-star in the hard-edged action thriller that introduced Seagals aikido-based screen persona.
