Directed by James Bobin, Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) continues the fantastical world of Lewis Carrolls imagination in a time-bending adventure. Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to Wonderland to save the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) by stealing a mystical device called the Chronosphere and traveling through time itself. With lavish production design, emotional depth, and a mix of surreal humor and melancholy, the film deepens Burtons Wonderland universe into a story about friendship, memory, and redemption.

Från IMDB:
Alice is appointed to save her beloved Mad Hatter from deadly grief by travelling back to the past, but this means fatally harming Time himself, the noble clockwork man with the device needed to save the Hatters family from the Red Queen.
