Battlestar Galactica

The 2004 reimagining of Battlestar Galactica, developed by Ronald D. Moore, follows the remnants of humanity as they flee a renewed Cylon assault and search for the mythical planet Earth. The series blends space-opera scale with political drama, examining military command, identity, and the ethics of survival under existential threat. Its grounded tone, serialized structure, and thematic depth reshaped modern science-fiction television and established the show as one of the genres defining works of the 2000s.
