In Belleville Rendez-Vous (2003), French animator Sylvain Chomet crafts a nearly wordless animated adventure in which a determined grandmother travels to the strange metropolis of Belleville to rescue her kidnapped cyclist grandson from the clutches of the French mafia. Along the way, she teams up with three eccentric aging musicians whose past glory hides unexpected resources. A visually distinctive, darkly comic tale of perseverance, crime, and surreal urban life.

Från IMDB:
When her grandson is kidnapped during the Tour de France, Madame Souza and her beloved pooch Bruno team up with the Belleville Sisters--an aged song-and-dance team from the days of Fred Astaire--to rescue him.
