Directed by Jamie Babbit, But Im a Cheerleader stars Natasha Lyonne as Megan, a high school cheerleader sent to a conversion therapy camp after her family suspects she is a lesbian. Clea DuVall, Cathy Moriarty and RuPaul co-star in a queer coming-of-age comedy built around identity, repression, romance and brightly stylized social satire. The film has become a cult title in LGBTQ+ cinema and late-1990s teen comedy.
