Condemned, banned, prosecuted... Cannibal Holocaust is just about the most infamous film ever made, going further into horror and cruelty than just about any other movie as an American film crew makes contact with a tribe of primitive cannibals and swiftly wishes they hadnt.

Its the sort of film for which the phrase stomach churning might have been invented but theres more to Cannibal Holocaust than simply inducing nausea: its one of the most important films-about-filmmaking there is, and a powerful study of violence too.

Director Ruggero Deodatos (Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man) savage masterpiece has never looked better than on this gorgeous 4K restoration.

88 Films are proud to present the definitive edition of this horrible, essential classic.
