Carrie (1976)
Directed by Brian De Palma and based on Stephen Kings debut novel, Carrie follows a shy, ostracized teenager who discovers her telekinetic abilities amid escalating cruelty at school and at home. The film blends psychological tension with stylized horror, exploring repression, religious extremism, and adolescent isolation. Its iconic visual language and thematic focus on trauma have made it a foundational work in modern American horror cinema.

The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999)
The Rage: Carrie 2 extends Stephen Kings universe by following Rachel Lang, another teenager with telekinetic powers whose life becomes entwined with the legacy of the original tragedy. Directed by Katt Shea, the film frames its story around teen culture, social pressure, and systemic cruelty within a suburban high school setting. It combines late-1990s genre sensibilities with thematic echoes of the 1976 classic.
