Based on Nicholas Pileggis nonfiction book and inspired by real people and events, the film follows casino operator Sam Ace Rothstein and violent mob enforcer Nicky Santoro as money, power and organized crime collide in Las Vegas. Sharon Stone won a Golden Globe and received an Academy Award nomination for her performance as Ginger McKenna.
