Christine (1983), directed by John Carpenter and based on Stephen Kings bestselling novel, tells the story of a shy teenager whose life changes when he buys a 1958 Plymouth Fury possessed by a murderous spirit. As the cars supernatural influence grows, the boy becomes increasingly corrupted, and anyone who threatens their bond faces brutal retribution. Mixing possession horror, supernatural revenge, and Kings signature small-town dread, Christine has become a cult favorite in both horror and 1980s cinema.
