Columbo (1968 2003)

Columbo follows Lieutenant Columbo, a seemingly disheveled but highly perceptive detective who unravels murders by persistently questioning suspects and observing small inconsistencies. The series uses an inverted mystery format, revealing the culprit at the start and focusing on how Columbo methodically exposes their mistakes. Its emphasis on character interaction, careful deduction, and understated investigative style defines its long-running approach to crime storytelling.
