Look to the stars with this astrology deck to better understand your child's emotional needs, communication style, values, desires, and morefrom goop's resident psychological astrologer.

The birth charta snapshot of the sky at the exact moment of one's birthis a powerful tool most often used for self-awareness, personal inquiry, and growth. With this deck, Jennifer Freed, PhD, champions the use of the birth chart as a catalyst for family connection and emotional understanding.

Parents will learn about their own needs and their children's with the help of eighty illustrated cards and an accompanying pamphlet. Cosmic Parenting expounds on six birth chart placements that are key to unlocking one's inner world. A free online birth chart generator will reveal your sun, moon, and rising signs (which represent your personality, emotional needs, and how you appear to others), as well as your Mercury, Venus, and Mars signs (communication, desire and pleasure, drives and ambitions).

Pull the placement cards that correspond to your birth chart and then do the same for your child. Gain valuable insight into your child's spirit and consider how your needs interact with your child's. The Cancer moon placement card, for example, offers language to prompt supportive conversations with a sensitive child:

Do: Praise my vulnerability and transparency. Breathe slowly and deeply with me when I get emotional. Make time for one-on-one connection with me.

Don't: Rush me through sensitive conversations. Allow me to hijack the day with my emotions. Retaliate when I express my valid anger.

The seventy-two placement cards are enhanced by eight "connection cards," featuring activities, discussion prompts, and healing exercises meant to deepen family bonds, enhance parent-child relationships, and provide valuable social and emotional skills for the whole family.
