Barry Douglas har haft en betydande internationell karriär allt sedan han vann guldmedaljen vid den internationella Tjajkovskijtävlingen 1986. På nya "Celtic Nocturne" förenar han nocturner av John Field med traditionella irländska melodier och tre egna kompositioner, vilka alla delar den lyriska och melodiska karaktär som är typisk för irländsk klassisk musik.
