Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, Enemy at the Gates stars Jude Law as Soviet sniper Vasily Zaitsev and Ed Harris as the German marksman sent to hunt him during the Battle of Stalingrad. Rachel Weisz and Joseph Fiennes co-star in this World War II story combining large-scale warfare with an increasingly personal duel between two snipers. Inspired by the exploits of the real Vasily Zaitsev, the film places its cat-and-mouse confrontation against one of the wars most brutal battles.
