Gregory Hoblits Fracture (2007), starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling, is a slick psychological crime thriller. Hopkins plays a wealthy engineer who shoots his unfaithful wife and then manipulates the legal system, while Goslings ambitious young prosecutor tries to prove his guilt. With sharp dialogue, courtroom tension, and a deadly game of intellects, the film is a modern duel of wits in the tradition of classic legal thrillers.
