Directed by Steve Miner, Friday the 13th Part 2 returns to Crystal Lake five years after the massacre in the first film, where a new group of counsellors gathers at a nearby training camp. The killings begin again as Jason Voorhees emerges as the series new central murderer, seeking revenge for his mothers death. The film established the adult Jason and much of the slasher formula that would define the later franchise.
