Directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) stars Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, the cursed antihero struggling to control the demonic power of the Ghost Rider. The film follows Blaze protecting a young boy from a satanic cult seeking to use him for dark supernatural purposes. Combining comic-book action, supernatural horror imagery and chaotic high-speed action, the sequel takes a darker and more aggressive approach than the 2007 film.
