Grease (1978)
Directed by Randal Kleiser, Grease follows the shifting summer romance between Sandy and Danny as they navigate peer pressure, identity, and changing expectations within a 1950s high-school setting. The film blends musical performance, period nostalgia, and ensemble storytelling, anchored by memorable choreography and a soundtrack that became culturally defining. Its mixture of lighthearted energy and stylized Americana helped establish it as one of the most enduring screen musicals.

Grease 2 (1982)
Grease 2, directed by Patricia Birch, revisits Rydell High with a new cast as an exchange student attempts to reinvent himself to win the affection of a confident Pink Lady. The film blends musical set pieces with themes of self-image, teenage ambition, and shifting gender roles within a heightened 1960s backdrop. Its camp sensibility and ensemble focus give it a distinct tone separate from the originals iconic style.

Grease Live! (2016)
In the musical adaptation of the 1971 film, Aaron Tveit and Julianne Hough play the roles of Danny and Sandy. With their relationship stalling, Sandy is befriended by girl clique the Pink Ladies, headed by the meddling Rizzo (Vanessa Hudgens), who is also vying for Dannys affections. The cast also includes Carly Rae Jepsen and Didi Conn, the original Frenchie.
