Burt Kennedys Hannie Caulder (1971) stars Raquel Welch as a frontier woman who seeks vengeance after a brutal assault and the murder of her husband. With help from a seasoned bounty hunter, she trains in gunfighting to hunt down the outlaws. Mixing revenge western, female-led action, and gritty exploitation style, the film is a cult classic that influenced later rape-revenge and vigilante cinema.

After she is sexually assaulted and her husband is murdered, Hannie Caulder vows to take revenge on the three criminals who wrecked her life. She hires bounty hunter Thomas Price, to train her to be a gunslinger so that she might seek out and kill the perpetrators. However, her plan of retribution will not run as smoothly as she had hoped.

This unusual British western starring Raquel Welch, Robert Culp, and Christopher Lee is directed by cowboy movie veteran Burt Kennedy and packs a powerful punch.
