Haywire (2011), directed by Steven Soderbergh, is a stripped-down action film centered on betrayal within the world of covert operations. Gina Carano stars as a highly trained operative double-crossed by her employers, forcing her into a relentless fight for survival and revenge. Emphasizing realistic hand-to-hand combat and minimal stylization, the film presents a grounded alternative to glossy spy action.
