Directed by Charles Walters and starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra, High Society is a musical romantic comedy about Newport socialite Tracy Lord, whose forthcoming wedding is complicated by the return of her ex-husband and the arrival of a reporter covering the event. Based on Philip Barrys play The Philadelphia Story, the film features songs by Cole Porter and musical performances by Louis Armstrong, combining romantic entanglements, sophisticated comedy and classic Hollywood musical numbers.
