David Leans Hobsons Choice (1954) is a witty, warm, and sharply observed British classic. When a domineering bootmaker underestimates his clever eldest daughter, she turns the tables with intelligence, independence, and a little romance. A perfectly balanced blend of humor and heart from one of Britains greatest directors.

Från IMDB:
Widower Henry Hobson refuses to let his three daughters get married because he doesnt want to pay settlements, so theyll just have to outsmart him.
