I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) is a defining 1990s teen slasher, following four friends who cover up a hit-and-run accident - only to be stalked a year later by a mysterious hook-wielding killer. With its mix of urban legend horror, Final Girl survival, and glossy teen thriller style, the film became a post-Scream cult hit and launched a franchise.
