This Italian crime thriller from the mid-1970s follows a determined police inspector investigating a brutal assassination linked to political extremism and urban terrorism. Directed by Luciano Ercoli, the film reflects the tense atmosphere of Italys Years of Lead, blending procedural investigation with social and political commentary. A key example of the gritty Eurocrime tradition, it focuses on institutional pressure, corruption, and moral ambiguity rather than action spectacle.
