Directed by John Sturges, Last Train from Gun Hill (1959) stars Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn in a tense Western centered on justice and revenge. When a U.S. Marshal seeks accountability for a brutal crime committed by the son of a powerful rancher, he becomes trapped in a hostile town while awaiting the arrival of a train that could secure his escape. The film is regarded as a tightly constructed example of late-1950s American Western cinema.
