Directed by Andrew Lau, Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen stars Donnie Yen as the legendary martial arts hero operating undercover in 1920s Shanghai during the Japanese occupation. Blending period action, espionage and stylized martial arts choreography, the film reimagines the iconic Chen Zhen character in a story involving resistance movements, political tension and secret identities. The production combines large-scale action sequences with wuxia-inspired combat and historical wartime intrigue connected to the legacy of Bruce Lees Fist of Fury.
